Running PlugApps

Use this guide.

Hardware

  • 1 USB 2.0 Port
  • 1 Gigabit Ethernet Port
  • Regular Power cable (Not a brick)
  • Power and Activity LEDs
  • 512MB RAM
  • 512MB NAND
  • Marvell Sheeva CPU, 1.2GHz
  • Mini-USB Serial port with JTAG
  • SDHC card slot

Default Operating System

  • Ubuntu 9.04
  • Uses apt to install a custom experience

  • Mini-USB serial for easy unbricking
  • SheevaPlug Installer to install a variety of operating systems (such as Plugbox)
  • Boot from SD card or USB as well as NAND

Let-Downs

  • Ubuntu dropped support for Sheevaplug, 9.04 is the only version available
  • Takes about 3-5 weeks to ship from GlobalScale
