unable to login as root

Hi, I installed a Arch--rpi-armv7 on a raspberry pi 4 8GB. Now I'm trying to setup everything, but by setting the keyboard to be-latin1 (in/etc/resolv.conf) I can't login anymore as root (still with the standard password). I'm ale to login as alarm and then go into su mode.
When I try to login straightaway as root, I get the error: "free(): invalid pointer" Where doesthis comefrom and what can I do about it?
